im sorry if this is stupid, but what changes did you make?

Updates to the software that the board runs on, nothing you'd notice if I did it correctly. The people who write the software release updates every now and then with performance improvements, bug fixes, security updates and the like. We like to stay up-to-date so its as good as possible for you fine folks.

If you're interested in seeing what updates there were this time, here’s the release page. I warn you, its rather dreary and somewhat unintelligible if you don't know much about the board software.
