There are but two paths ahead of mankind

IF you truly walk the path seeking truth, you must seek and seek unto your death, thus this path is hard for those who hope for the world, for this hope creates fear of losing it. "And at the end of fear, oblivion"

IF you walk the path of satisfaction you've created a "mock truth", so you no longer have to seek, but this "mock truth" is empty of truth, hence the creator keeps you blind. this path is easy, you gain a "sense" , or "mock truth" without sacrificing the world.

But to gain truth; life of the divine, one must sacrifice the world.

this is what Christ demonstrated with his crucifixion.

And the Truth, in purest form is not of this world.
